This world lost a good man. I worked with Paul for six years and had a great level of respect for him. Paul was kind, gentle, intelligent and was always a pleasure to work with under any circumstance. He will be missed greatly.

Paul was a wonderful kind friend. My wife Julie and I loved spending time with Paul and Jeannie at sporting events. I would talk to him many times over the years about his passion of old postcards and his girls basketball teams and the love he had for his family. It was my great honor to be Paul’s friend we will miss him. My deepest sympathies to Paul’s family and many friends

Coach Paul was an amazing person, coach, and friend. He was the best coach I’ve ever had. He believed in me like no other, and helped my grow as a person and as a player. He put in many extra hours of work to help me improve, and I’m beyond grateful for that. Coach Paul has made such a significant impact on my life, as well as many others. Words can’t describe how much he will be missed. The world needs more people like coach. His kindness, trust, wisdom, and humor will stay with me forever. May he rest in peace.

I had the privilege of coaching with Paul during the 2019-20 season and was able to witness first hand his passion for the game and his sincere interest in each of the girls. It was obvious from the first time we met that he loved to coach and spend time with the kids. He was an excellent coach – encouraging, supportive, and really knew how to inspire the girls. And he wasn’t afraid to get on the court in practice to help them out. They loved Coach Paul. As was his tradition, at the beginning of the season he took the time to meet with each girl in their home to connect with them, talk about their goals, and make them feel important about the role they had on our team. He led us to a 3rd place finish at State that year and he couldn’t have been more excited for the girls. Since that season Paul has followed up with me several times, checking in on how basketball was going for my daughter Piper and others he had coached. He’d remember in great detail shots made, games played, and final outcomes. I’ll never forget the smile and twinkle in his eyes whenever he talked about basketball or the kids he coached. He was a really special person and coach and will be greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family…

Paul was an amazing human being. So humble, so giving, so many talents, so quirky. I will miss my good friend so much. I have been reflecting on my last conversation with Paul. He was in the hospital and we talked for over an hour. We discussed briefly his current situation, moved on to discussing world problems, but mostly laughed. I realize now that he was also saying goodbye. (tears) The world has lost a great one!

The world has lost a great person (and a very talented trombone player). We spent eight years playing our trombones next to each other in the school band. I will miss him. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, may he lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Scheuer Family and Friends, I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I knew him from his songwriting exploits with Jim Vollmar, and was proud to play keyboards on their recordings as the duo Under the Bridge. Although it's been many years, I remember his kindness, wit and insight. May God bless you all in the coming days.

Paul was our golf partner and fun to golf with. The last round of golf with us he had a great game and got a birdie with his lowest score of 42. I still have the scorecard. We send our heart felt sympathy and condolences. We will miss Paul.

I’m a postcard collector as was Paul. For me, the best thing about this hobby is meeting some really great people over the years. Our relationships with people are more important than anything and I know Paul felt that way as well. I will miss my friend.
